Conservatory Vertical Blinds
Vertical blinds, unlike their horizontal predecessors don't act as a efficient trap for dust. They are also easier to open as they can be made from lighter fabric. This lighter fabric also allows light in while keeping out the glare.
Roller or vertical slat blinds are both more suited to contemporary design styles, giving you a wide selection of colours and patterns, but not giving the clinical or industrial feel of more modern venetian blinds.
Vertical blinds are if anything more susceptible to being damaged than horizontal blinds and are less suitable to conservatory roofs as they work best hanging freely. Roller blinds can be fitted to roof windows in a conservatory or skylights, but unless you want to pay for motorised blinds, the spring will eventually cause them to break down.
They still leave a gap between themselves and the glass of the windows which will get very hot in direct sunlight.
Solar protective window films give you the benefits of having blinds, reduced glare, UV protective, without needing maintenance or downsides. If you want them, you can have blinds fitted over the film to match the theme of your interior design. The blinds will stay looking new for longer as they will be protected from the UV light by the window film.
